Description:
Explore all the tools required to make video tutorials, along with suggestions for new hardware and software that can make anyone look like a pro. Learn strategies for planning and creating tutorials, then use Macromedia Captivate software to create some of your own. Finally, get a taste of how impressive AND affordable studio quality video equipment is these days!
Pre-requisites:
Basic computer skills and a willingness to try new things.

Upon completion of this course, participants will:
- Understand how video tutorials and screencasting are being used to enhance learning.
- Gain skills to use technology for improving their professional and personal productivity.
- Understand the hardware and software necessary for producing online tutorials.
- Demonstrate the ability to plan, produce, and publish video tutorials.
- Develop strategies for using this emerging technology in the classroom.

Assignment:
During class, participants create at least two video tutorials. Within thirty days of the last day of class, participants create two more tutorials and post them online. In addition, they must share a one page paper on how they have or plan to use the tutorials to improve communication and learning in their classroom. The reflection may be posted to the blog created in class.
