Description:
In this six week online course, focus on six research-based strategies for effectively using video in your teaching. Discover several freely accessible online video databases and resources available for you and your students to use. Develop your own lessons and activities that incorporate digital video resources and the strategies presented.
Pre-requisites:
Basic computer and Internet skills.
Headphones/speakers and a microphone for your computer are REQUIRED.
Quicktime is required. Windows Media Player and Real Player are strongly recommended.

Participants will:
- Understand the importance and educational value of using credible video resources in the classroom and develop a rationale for using video as an effective teaching tool.
- Learn techniques for video viewing as well as teaching strategies to make the most of video in the classroom.
- Learn to critically evaluate what students should learn from a video.
- Feel confident and motivated to use video in the classroom to enhance student learning.
